Yellow Loosestrife, a common flower in the garden area, is related to the alien wildflower
Moneywort (Lysimachia nummularia), a small creeping vine. Yellow loosestrife is not related to the
Purple Loosestrife invading and dominating much of the north country's wetlands. Loosestrife can
be very aggressive, but growing it in dry conditions is one of the best ways to keep it under control.
